Dear Fellow Literary Lions:

I created this blog on April 21, 2005 to keep my readers, friends, and colleagues posted on the progress of my books and to enable all of them to share their thoughts about them.

As some of you know, I've been "off the literary road" since April 6, when I underwent two totally successful major surgeries. No, I promise the gory details won't show up in my future books!

My recovery is going extremely well. I'm walking, talking, redesigning the Corinthian Books website -- but not yet driving. That comes next week. I'll be back doing talks and book signings starting May 5, when I'll be making a Dolley Madison "Strength and Honor" presentation to the Martha Dunkin Chapter of the D.A.R. in Laurens, South Carolina.
